The experiment control panel provide quick access to the most important experiment flow options and show the experiment flow statistics. Buttons of the panel are active only when experiment has no mistakes. See Troubleshooting for the help.

 Run/Stop/Reset

Execute active experiment. Indicates that experiment is ready to run.

 Run/Stop/Reset

Stop experiment or queue of jobs. Indicates that experiment is running.

 Run/Stop/Reset

Indicates that an error was encountered during experiment execution or other procedures. Press this button to return SpecMan4EPR in ready to run state.

 Finish Scan

Force experiment to stop after finishing of the current scan.

 Pause

Pause the execution of the experiment. Press again to continue.

 Tune

Set spectrometer to the tune mode. User can monitor the setup behavior at any experiment point and adjust parameters of experiment and devices. Data are not stored. Tunning mode can be canceled by pressing this button again.

Run queue Execute the queue.

Various experiment flow statistics is available in running mode. Time related statistics visualized using the clock. Options can be selected from the context menu. All shown times (except the 'Elapsed time') are estimations based on the flow of the experiment and can change, especially in the beginning of the experiment. The progress bar shows the percent of experiment done to the moment.

When experiment is configured incorrectly the list of errors appears on Experiment Control Panel.

The above figure shows the state of the Experiment Contol Panel immediately after loading. First letters of every line (e.g. Exp or Ppl) indicate the page where the mistake occured. More precise description of errors is displayed in the program log. After correction of all mistakes the Panel returns to the state shown on the first figure.
