Open the template experimental file and make it
active. Template will not be added to the Data
List. Templates have 'tpl' extension and do not contain
experimental data. The path of templates directory is specified
in the Options dialog. To create
new template one can modify the existing template or experiment
file and save it as a template (see Save
Template). |
|
Load experiment file or template from the disk and open it in Experiment Editor. 'Open
file' dialog contains additional panel on the right. This panel
has three pages which present file overview, text of experiment
file and data plot of the selected file. |
|
Save active experiment to the disk in SpecMan
'd01/exp' format. 'Save file' dialog contains additional panels
at the bottom and on the right. Edit field at the bottom allows
to edit the name of the experiment. Text editor on the right
panel contains the copy of the sample description from the Sample
description window. Any additional information can be entered. |
|
Create an exact copy of the current experiment and store it in Buffer (see Data List). |
|
Save current experiment at given time intervals. See Options dialog for settings. |
|
Back up (autosave) experiments done. See Options dialog for settings. |
Save raw data |
Save experiment in raw format (under development). All data that reach acquisition engine of the program are directly saved into binary file with d02 extension. |
Save template |
Save active experiment as template to disk.
Templates have 'tpl' extension and do not contain experimental
data. To change the path of template's directory see Options
dialog. |
|
Save content of the Log window. |
Show performance log |
Output to log performance characteristics of the program. |
Reset performance counters |
Reset performance statistics |
Force terminat. |

Exit |
Exit the program. Exit is possible only in Idle
mode. If some experiments contain not-saved data, corresponding
dialogs will appear. |
- Experiment
|
Execute active experiment. This menu is
available only when experimental setup has no mistakes. See
Troubleshooting for the help. |
|
Terminate running experiment immediately. Last
scan of the experiment will not be added to the experiment data
(unless it was the only scan). The 'Experiment contains data'
flag will not be set (see help on 'List of experiments'). |
|
Set spectrometer to the tuning mode. User can
monitor the setup behavior at any experiment point and adjust
parameters of experiment and devices. Data are not stored. |
|
In a single experiment mode: repeat running experiment continuously.
Repetition counter will increase correspondingly. To stop
experiment use the Finish Scan menu or untoggle the button. If job queue is executed the queue will restart upon reaching the end. Repetition counter of experiments in the queue will not be affected. |
|
Pause the execution of the experiment. Press
again to continue. |
|
Force experiment to stop after finishing of the
current scan. |
|
Suppress Storing. Current scan will not be added to the the accumulation buffer
unless the option become unchecked. |
|
Rename experiment |
Mark data as saved |
Deselect 'not saved' flag of experiment. |
Revert |
Return to last completed experiment. This options works only if Preserve a copy flag is set. |
- Configuration
|
Load configuration file from disk. The path of
configuration files directory is specified in the Options dialog. To edit configuration file see help on configuration
files, 'Device configuration' and 'Pulse configuration'. |
|
Save configuration files. |
|
Launch the Device Configuration dialog. See

|
Launch the 'Interface Configuration' window.
This window provides information about devices connected through
interfaces. |
|

Configurations of SpecMan4EPR can be edited. |
|
Launch the 'Options' dialog. This dialog allows
to manage the shell parameters. See Configuring

- Devices
Some devices may need more sophisticated control
interface than one that provided by 'Initial
Device Setup' window. These devices can use their own custom
Direct Control Interfaces. Interfaces can be opened from the
'Devices' menu. When there are no devices that have Direct Control
Interfaces, the 'Devices' menu is empty.
