Data Browser
Introduced in version 3.8.6
The Data Browser is the panel that lists the data files of the current folder and feeds them into the second view port. It lets acquired files be inspected, and compared with the running experiment, without leaving SpecMan4EPR or interrupting acquisition.
Clicking a file opens the second view port if it is closed, so a single click is enough to start looking at data. Navigate the folder tree with Up, and step through the browsing history with the < and > buttons.
Dataset buttons
Six buttons along the panel decide what the second view port shows. They are independent toggles – any combination can be active at once, and the view port draws all of the active datasets together.

| Exp | The live experiment from the server, updating as it runs. Use it to compare a stored file against the acquisition in progress. |
| 1 … 4 | Pinned files. Pressing an unlit slot captures the file currently selected in the list and keeps it on screen; pressing a lit slot releases it. A lit button means the slot is occupied. |
| Browse | A preview of whatever file is selected right now. It follows the selection, so moving through the list with the arrow keys sweeps through the data. |
Pinning is what makes comparison possible: park up to four files in slots 1–4, leave Browse active, and every file you then walk through is drawn against the pinned ones. Releasing a slot removes only that trace.
